It was time for round two of the Kruger weddings in 2017 and it truly was an fun filled one. Having already met most of the family on the groom's side in July of this year at Deon and Andrea's wedding it gave a wonderfully homey feeling to the day, and I felt like I was already part of the family in a way, ready to rock an amazing couple's day.
Upon waking up to a rather gloomy looking weather forecast, I decided to pop Claire a message to see how things were looking their side near the venue. Sadly, it wasn't looking good but we said right there and then, come what may, we were going to make the most of the day no matter what the weather throws at us.
I have to say that having that attitude from the start was the best thing we could have ever done - and having an eager and excited bride with same attitude also made a HUGE difference! Nothing was going to spoil her special day.
I was really excited for the day as it would be my first ever wedding held at Sweet Home Weddings and Functions and I was super keen to see what it had to offer for photo opportunities through out the day.
Upon my arrival I was like a kid in a candy store seeing the lake and the cabbage fields - I don't think my smile could have gotten any bigger, and I hadn't even begun shooting yet.
After sussing everything out and getting the decor shots out the way I made my way over to the ladies to begin documenting all the excitement and sillynes that was bound to take place with the crazy bridal party I had been told so much about when I first met Claire.
Small intimate details like these special messages from each of Claire's bridesmaids are what I love most about when shooting a wedding.
Chloe did a fantastic job of Claire's make-up and as she was also a guest at the wedding, she was on hand to do touch up's throughout the day to ensure that the beautiful bride looked stunning the whole day! It was wonderful. Thank you for being such an awesome addition to the wedding team.
The rest of the bridal parties make up was done by the team from: Make-Up by Anke
You ladies had your hands full with bridesmaids needing hair and make-up, you did and exceptional job everyone looked gorgeous, thank you for all your hard work, you were lovely to work with.
A special message from her hubby to be - how awesome is that smile!
I think the craziest thing for me when I met Claire's bride tribe was the fact that I had gone to primary school with 2 of her bridesmaids. This just added to the "coolness" of her day ha ha ha.
The amount of love that these ladies had for Claire could be seen throughout the day and it was great to see a bride so well looked after on her special day, true friendships and special bonds were unique with each of her bridesmaids, an excellent choice of ladies to stand by your side on your day Claire!
Everything Claire needed was at her disposal from start to finish and these ladies did an amazing job keeping her calm, cool and collected leading up to her moment down the isle.

When I arrived at Charl and the lads everything was so chilled and it was a true, 'boys will be boys' kinda scene.
Claire had also left a special message for Charl under his shoe.
I absolutely LOVED the guys ties!
The gents looking dashing - just look at all those naughty faces! I knew I was going to have fun with this lot!
Both Charl and Claire enjoy escaping to bush and the whole theme of the decor was "The Kruger" which I absolutely LOVED!
A special message for a very special dad just outside the chapel door.
It's always a favourite moment of mine getting to see the grooms reaction to his beautiful bride making her way down the isle.
I've never had a bride and groom giggle so much during their ceremony as Claire and Charl did. Their excitement, love and happiness at the realisation they were soon to be Mr & Mrs just could not be contained.
Introducing Mr & Mrs Kruger!!
One of the highlights from this wedding that I will never forget was the amazing guests and loved ones who shared Claire and Charl's day with them, at one point during the course of the evening at the reception, a video was played that included all of the couple's close friends and family - it was a surprise for the happy couple and hearing all the laughs and cheers whilst everyone watched it was brilliant.
Well done to all those who took part and put it together.

I would just like to say a special thanks to Derek and Carrie from Sweet Home for being such wonderful hosts, you guys were lovely to work with and I hope that I have the opportunity to work with you again in the future.
To the crazy bridal party, thank you all for being such troopers throughout the day and for making things run and operate so smoothly when it came to the photo's, you guys really were amazing and I had great fun working with all of you.
To the family and friends, thank you so much for playing an equally important role in the day and for making us feel at home and part of the family. It always make my job that much easier whenever I have guests that are easy to work with and understanding especially in tricky weather.
Finally to Claire and Charl, THANK YOU both so very much for choosing myself and my assistant, Jozi, to share in your special day. Despite the weather being not exactly behaving, you were both such wonderful sports throughout it all and we really did have an amazing day with you and got some awesome images.
I look forward to working through your images and reliving some of the laughs we had throughout the day.
Wishing you all the very best in this new chapter and journey together in life as husband and wife, I hope that it is filled with love, loads of laughter, fun filled adventure and most of all cherished moments with each other and all those who are dear to you.
