This truly was a special moment and time for me as this was my very first In-Hospital new born shoot. I cannot describe the excitement of being able to document and witness a mother seeing and holding her new born babba for the first time and a family getting to meet their new additoin.
Our initial photoshoot began on Tuesday afternoon where I got to meet Bohdi for the first time. What a wonderful thing it was to experience the excitement and love for this gorgeous little girl only a few hours after her grand entrance into the world.
After I got the shots I needed for the the time being, I left mom and dad with their little munchkin for the evening to enjoy being together as a family.
I returned on Wednsday morning to take a few more shots of her but the MOST impoortant moment of the day was happening a little later on in the morning.
At 11:00 all of Bohdi's siblings got to meet her in person for the very first time and held her. The excitement in the room from the minute all the kids arrived was just amazing to be apart of - and of course granny's face as she saw her granddaughter - priceless.
Little Bohdi, you are one extremely loved little girl and I could not get enough of you over these past 2 days.
I would like to say a very special thank you to the staff of the Netcare Umhlanga Hospital's Maternity ward for being so accomodating and allowing me to be present after visiting hours to document these very special first few hours of Bodhi's life in the big wide world. You were all such troopers and this couldn't have been possible without your co-operation and assistance.
Finally, to Cara and Mark, THANK YOU so much for choosing me to share in this special time. It is one that I will hold dear to my heart for years to come and I look forward to our shoots of Bohdi in the months to come.
I would like to wish you and your family all the happiness in the world and hope that the journey ahead with your new little princess is filled with love, laughter and of course some craziness that makes the Lowensteins family a ROCKING one!
Lots of love,
