So this past weekend was round two of a matric dance that was very close to my heart. I once again had the privilege of being a part of my cousins matric dance. When she walked through her apartment door my little Miss P was no where to be seen and a bright young woman stood in front of me.
Despite all of us worrying about you being late and worrying that the weather was going to put a damper on the evening you were as calm as anything and just took the whole process in your stride.
All your details were just simply you to a T!
Your colour choice for me just screamed my little Miss P - vibrant, bold and fun.
Em's you looked gorgeous and took everyone's breath away - you have grown into an amazing young woman with a massive heart and personality that I wouldn't change for anything.
Cam my boy - I don't think your smile could have been any bigger seeing Emma walk through the hotel door. You guys really do make such an awesome couple and your love for Em's shows in everything you do for her and your respect for he is amazing and it's a wonderful and rare quality to have as a young man in today's day and age.
It was so lovely to see that a few traditions for a matric dance or prom were not forgotten - a beautiful corsage for a beautiful young lady inside and out.
This dance also had a special significance as it was Reddam House Umhlanga's very first matric dance as the class of 2017 are the pioneers and are the first matrics the school has ever had.
This is a wonderful thing to be apart of and I'm sure will make the memories made amongst all the students just a little more special.
After taking a few pics at the Beverly Hills hotel it was time to start making our way to the pre-dance drinks being held at the Mt Edgecombe Country Club, but first a few pictures were in order as Emma and Cameron had a really rad ride to take them to the dance.
The 1965 Ford Corsair made a wonderful prop and the light rain at the time didn't hamper our pics at all, rather it was the good luck charm for a great night ahead for these two lovebirds.
Of course the night would not be complete without some family pics before they headed into the venue hall to enjoy their night.
My dearest Em's - I hope that you dance was all you dreamed it would be and that you had a blast and made some awesome memories. I'm extremely proud of you my angel and wish you all the best for you final school year I know you are going to soar from here on out.
Love you millions my little Miss P!
